Recently I have a huge group of friends and collegues visiting us from all over the world. For many of them this is the first visit to Warsaw (and Poland), that is why they would like to bring something special to remember about the city. Firstly I was just sharing with them some links, but why not to put it all into one place, so many people may use that? :) Those are my ideas on items that are worth to buy in Warsaw (in local stores), and remember about the great time here. Enjoy!
Bolesławiec Pottery
This is totally my weak-point. Nearby Rondo ONZ metro station, there is a store with various dishes types. I can spend hours and hours there only watching for different patterns painted on mugs and bowls...Yes, hand-painted! All the items you find there, are crafted in the small city called Bolesławiec in Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Dishes are cute, unique, and what is more - they are dishwasher-safe! I have couple of pieces at home, and they are perfect!
Prices?
As there are many items, every single thing has a different price. However be prepared to spend around around 7-17 euro for a mug, and around 10-20 euro for a cup with saucer. Prices vary depends on the patterns they are decorated with.
How to get there?
The easiest way is to use Metro Line 2 and get to Rondo ONZ. You can also make like 15 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station.

Many mornings socks
Who doesn't love colorful socks? They can be a great souvenir from Poland! Polish brand, Many Mornings always surprises me with their new patterns, ideas. They always sell two different socks that create a perfect pair together!
The company creates many interesting patterns, those ones I bought for Christmas, currently there is a whole line with Euro 2024. Everyone can find something interesting.
Prices?
8-12 euro for a cheerful pair of socks that you can use for any occasion is a great deal!
How to get there?
The closed to the center store is situated in Arkadia Shopping Mall, ground floor.
It is possible o buy online as well, they ship outside the country. Check their website here. Aren't they adorable?
Wedel sweets
While writing this post, I have realized I do not have a picture of this place, I would need to go there soon! However, I found some pictures in the internet, to show you how magical it is! This is a café, that is styled for Warsaw vibe before the Second World War. You can enjoy there amazing hot chocolate, great sweets, but also buy some chocolate souvenirs, made in the city. There are boxes of Ptasie Mleczko, chocolate bars with various fillings, and my favorite - Torcik Wedlowski. Torcik is some kind of a cake made of many layers of thin wafers with chocolate and hazelnuts cream between, and amazing chocolate covering it all.
It is difficult to say, however the prices probably start from around 3 euro. However I do not know a person who has spent only 3 euro in this place!
How to get there?
The place is in the City Center, close to Palace of Culture, not far away from the Old Town. Check the map below:
